The School Day

Oxley Primary > Parents & Carers > The School Day

Registration

Registration for all children takes place at 8:50am; however, our classroom doors open at 8:40am to allow time for our children to organise their belongings before morning work begins.

Although Mr Caldwell and Mrs Parker can be found on the playground to welcome our children into school every morning, children unaccompanied by an adult should not arrive on-site before 8:35am as there is no staff supervision before this time.

School Gates will be locked promptly at 8.55 AM. Children arriving after this time must be accompanied to the office where they sign in and record their lunch requirements for the day.

Assemblies

Whole School assemblies take place at 10:15am every day and are taken by members from the teaching team. Our Oxley #Starsoftheweek celebration and #sportspersonoftheweek assembly is held on Fridays.

Lunch

Bears and Koalas – 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Key Stage 1 – 12:15pm – 12:45pm

Key Stage 2 – 12:35pm – 1:15pm

End of the school day

School finishes at 3:15pm and children are collected from their classrooms.

Children in Year 5 and 6 are able to walk home unaccompanied with prior permission from parents or carers. If you wish for a child to walk home, please speak with our office staff to sign the appropriate permission slip.

Due to safeguarding, we will not release any child to someone who is not known to us without prior parental authorisation.

You must notify the office before 2.45PM if someone other than the regular contact is collecting a child from school ie..Grandparents, family friends etc.
