Welcome to Year 2! In the Owls, we work hard on embedding our skills from EYFS and Year 1 and further build upon our foundations before we head into Year 3 and Key Stage 2. We apply our learning through a variety of topics during the year taking on the roles of scientists, musicians, historians, artists and many more besides! Unit of work this year include: designing moving pictures, travelling back to 79AD and the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii, programming robot algorithms and creating our own digital artworks!

As the Owls class, we are: wise, friendly, protective and brave just like our bird
friends. We work collaboratively with one another, cheer each other on and celebrate our successes. We are highly motivated to be independent learners and we continue to develop our perseverance, stamina and self-reliance within all of our learning. As a group, we focus on positivity, having high expectations and we are excited to learn new things. During our educational activities, our school values of, ‘Be Kind’, ‘Be Brilliant’ and ‘Have an ‘I can’ attitude’ are central to our classroom ethos and support us on our journey to achieving our full potential.
