Oxley Primary > Parents & Carers > School Meals

Our meals are prepared on site each day by our wonderful catering team. The children can select from two different choices each day which may be selected online via WEDUC or simply pre-ordered in the morning.

Lunch Menu

We will endeavour to cater for all of your child’s dietary needs. If you have any concerns regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact office@oxleyprimary.org

Medical Diet Request

The price of an individual school dinner is £2.35 daily and must be paid via WEDUC.

Infant free school meals in England

All children in the Foundation Stage, Year 1 or Year 2 are entitled to a free meal. This is funding that the Government has introduced to schools under the ‘Universal Free School Meals’ scheme.

Free School Meals

Does your child qualify for free school meals?

Our school will receive £1,900 per pupil for each child who is registered as eligible for Free School Meals. If your child is eligible – register now to ensure your child’s entitlement! Even if you choose not to use the free school dinner service, your child can still benefit from resources and extra support to help with reading, writing and maths. From when registered eligible to when your child leaves school, this amount and more will continue to be put into the school budget to support your child.

Qualifying benefits

If you get any of the following support payments your child may be entitled to receive free school meals:

  • Income support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s allowance
  • Income-related employment and support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more that £16,190)
  • Working Tax credit run-on paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit – if you apply on or after 1st April, 2018 your household income must be less than 37,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
