In the Peacocks we love to learn new facts! We discover new and exciting things through our exploration skills as historians, geographers, mathematicians, scientists and by being investigative writers. We always strive to do our best by working hard and sharing our ideas through class discussion. We are able to participate and discuss current affairs and past topics, delving into what contributed to the modern Britain we know today.
We Peacocks love to read and unpick stories! We visit the school library every Wednesday afternoon to read from the vast selection of fiction and non-fiction books. We choose a book each month to focus on for discussion and then we add it to our ‘BookFlix Review’ wall.
This year we have a wealth of really exciting things to learn. We will be discovering what life was like in the Stone Age and how the Anglo Saxons lived, discussing the important skills they needed for survival. We will also be exploring the landscape, including mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes!
We always work together to build relationships and maintain them while constantly showing the Oxley values of Be Kind, Be Brilliant and have an ‘I Can’ attitude.
