In the Lions and Foxes’ classes we learn lots and work hard in a variety of exciting projects such as DT projects inspired by Mariana Tabassum and her sustainable housing in Bangladesh and learning all about the British Empire including how this has shaped our current society and lessons that have been learnt along the way.
Within our topics, we learn, discuss and debate a range of subjects and are not afraid of delving into important issues such as migration, human rights and equality, knowing it is important to make sense of the world we live in today. We also read as much as we can and regularly visit the school library, recommend books to one another during our Thursday morning Book Club and give ourselves a wealth of opportunity to use our increasing knowledge within writing opportunities across the curriculum.
Every year, we also visit Warning Zone to further understand how we can manage risks and the importance of staying safe, and have enormous fun on our PGL residential!
Towards the end of the year, we showcase our entrepreneurial skills by fundraising for our end-of Oxley treat and if that wasn’t enough, we also do a spot of performing in our end-of-year production!
By working together, we make the final year a memorable one – before we take those all-important steps into our secondary education
